New River

The New River! All day long the photographer had been worried about crossing this river. Would it be too deep? I would received photos with notes like, “Do you see it up there?”, and, “How will I get across it?”  Would he have to walk in wet boots? This photo arrived in my inbox with the triumphant note, “The New River! And my feet are dry!” He even took the photo from the middle of the river. All the patterns that water makes in the sand are visible, the Pacific Ocean is in the hazy distance and the only seagulls in the series makes they appearance.
